Thank you NHS workers!
Modelling can be a full-time career for many people, but there are also lots of models on our books who hold down other jobs as well.
The beauty of working in the industry is that assignments can often be fitted in around other working hours and shifts – and sometimes even take place at weekends.
Having worked as a recognised and fully certified agent for 30 years now, we obviously have a wide range of different models on our books, and that includes those in a spectrum of careers.
Among those are many people who work in important frontline services – and some of those, of course, hold vital positions within the NHS.
These male and female models may well also be doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants; they might be receptionists, cleaners, porters and other support staff.
We all know how hard these kinds of jobs can be at the best of times but the past couple of years have been more challenging than ever for these hardworking and dedicated NHS workers.
They have given themselves up entirely to the fight against Covid, working long hours and putting themselves at risk in order to look after those of us who have become ill with the virus and who need attention for other reasons.
Their family time has often been compromised and their working conditions have been unimaginable at times.
Some of those who work for the NHS and are on our books as models enjoy the contrast that taking on modelling assignments brings.
Not only does it offer them the chance to earn a little extra income but doing something completely different can also be something of a release.
We are so proud of our models who work in the NHS and want to say a big thank you to them for all the hard work they do, especially during this time of pandemic.
As we all look forward to a time when the situation eases further, we hope they will continue to balance the vital work they do in surgeries, hospitals, ambulances and other healthcare settings, with the varied bookings they take on for us at Models Direct.
Thank you NHS workers!
