Some models will be chosen by our clients relatively soon after joining us. This isn’t an idle statement – it’s a fact because we know when our models register with us and we’re just as eager as them to secure modelling work.
A recent success was our model Erin, who was selected by our client for a lifestyle shoot in Bath. Erin had been on our books for only one month. Depending on your expectations about modelling, this may seem like a short time before landing a first job, or a longish wait. So, when will you get modelling work after registering with Models Direct? It’s impossible to say for sure because it’s always the clients who pick their own models. What we can say is that it’s not uncommon for our models to pick up their first job after a few days from initial registration, or indeed after a few weeks. But – and it’s a positive but – all our registered models give themselves the best chance of being picked simply by being on our books. Sometimes, the chances of being selected by clients depends on the season – for example, a month before the height of summer or late autumn leading up to Christmas are always busy times for brands looking to secure models to help with their marketing and advertising shoots; the chances of being picked increases during these times.
That’s not to say that thousands of models don’t get picked at other times. Our modelling schedule is packed pretty much every day throughout the year, so all models should keep the faith and look to improving their chances by uploading fresh photos to their portfolios.
